MEDITATION
Meditation is a lot like the lottery. You can’t win if you don’t play. With meditation becoming popular in the West, most people in the U.S. have at least heard of meditation. Some conjure images of a monk in a robe with perfect posture sitting atop a cushion, thumb and forefinger touching. Although this is one way of meditating, it is not the only technique.
MEDITATION
What makes practicing meditation so unreachable for you?
- Do you believe it is a religious practice and hesitate to try it because of your own spiritual beliefs?
- Do you believe you have to be unencumbered by life and must dedicate hours a day to a meditation practice to reap the benefits?
- Do you believe you have to suffer in the same position and be uncomfortable to meditate?
I can tell you from experience that none of this is true. What is true? Meditation is flexible, adaptable, and effective.
If you are interested in beginning a practice, but are intimidated or concerned with any of the above, check out the calendar for my next meditation class. You can do it from the comfort of your own home and your practice can be easily adjusted to fit your lifestyle and needs. You may be surprised to find you need to meditate!
